American Girl! Home Dvd’s

If you have a little girl in your household you probably know what the American Girl phenomenon is all about. These dolls, DVDs and matching accessories are every little girl’s dream. Now they are expensive, I’m not going to hide that fact. However, I do know that little girls really cherish these little dolls and the stories that come along with them.

What is neat is that they can teach your kids about history. Each little girl (or doll) has a name and comes with a family story that is based on historical events. Take Emily for example. She is a little girl that grew up in London during World War II. She comes with stories and even family photos that fill in the girl’s past as well as the circumstances she grew up in.

So, even if you don’t buy a doll it is valuable to talk about these stories with your child so they can learn about history in a way that keeps them interested. If you haven’t heard of these dolls check it out! I must say their website doesn’t really do justice to the dolls, so get a catalog to really check it out.
